Future Cybersecurity SpecialistBuilding my skills in cybersecurity, networking, Linux systems, virtualization, scripting, and secure infrastructure while continuously developing practical projects and solving technical problems.
Hi, I'm Bilal Touati โ a Cybersecurity student focused on developing strong foundations in networking, Linux systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
I'm currently studying Cybersecurity at OFPPT, where I'm developing practical knowledge in computer networks, systems, virtualization, security concepts, and IT infrastructure.
My main technical interests include Linux, networking, virtualization, scripting, PowerShell, CMD, system administration, and cybersecurity.
I also use modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to build and experiment with personal projects. Web development is a supporting technical skill for my projects, but it is not my main career specialization.
My goal is to continuously improve my technical skills through hands-on practice, labs, personal projects, and cybersecurity challenges, while building a strong foundation for a future career in Cybersecurity.
The core technologies and tools I use to study and practice Cybersecurity, networking, and IT infrastructure. Scripting and automation support this work; web development is a secondary, project-support skill.
Hands-on labs in virtualization, networking, and system security โ the practical work behind my Cybersecurity studies. Each one lists the tools used and what I took away from it.

Deployed and configured Proxmox Virtual Environment for server virtualization.
Key takeawaySet up VMs and containers, managed storage, and explored clustering for high availability.
Created and managed virtual machines using Hyper-V.
Key takeawayConfigured virtual networks, tested isolated environments, and explored enterprise virtualization management.
Built multi-OS test environments using VirtualBox.
Key takeawayConfigured virtual networks, snapshots, and shared folders to simulate real infrastructure scenarios.
Worked with VMware to create and configure virtual machines and test different operating systems.
Key takeawayDeepened my understanding of virtualization concepts and infrastructure.
Used Git for version control across all my projects.
Key takeawayManaged repositories, branches, and commits to track changes and keep clean workflows.
Developed Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks, parse network data, and build small security tools.
Key takeawayApplied scripting to real-world IT and cybersecurity workflows.
Installed and configured VMware ESXi on bare-metal hardware.
Key takeawayManaged virtual machines, datastores, and network adapters in an enterprise-level hypervisor environment.
Configured and managed Windows Defender for endpoint protection.
Key takeawayAnalyzed security alerts, set up real-time protection policies, and ran threat scans against malware and intrusions.
Built and configured complete development environments for programming projects.
Key takeawaySet up tools, editors, and version control workflows for Python and JavaScript โ web development as a supporting project skill.
Designed and implemented a full network topology using Cisco Packet Tracer, configuring switches, routers, and connecting all devices within the same LAN.
Key takeawaySet up VLANs, IP addressing, and routing protocols to ensure proper communication across the network.
A snapshot of my continuous learning path โ practical training and verified credentials as I build toward a Cybersecurity career, alongside my ongoing studies at OFPPT.
I'm currently open to new opportunities โ whether it's an internship, a project, or just a chat about cybersecurity. My inbox is always open.
